Main Branch Newsletter

This a redesign of the Society for Technical Communication’s February 2018 Byline Magazine.

The bulk of the redesign was in asthetics. This includes color choices, theme creation, and readability.

An important note: because this was a sample project, all pictures are stock images - they do not reflect actual staff of the Society for Technical Communication.

One Man Dystopia - 2,000 Word Short Story

Featured in Zaum Magazines’ 27th edition and nominated by Zaum for the Pushcart Prize, this story attempts to break a well-known trope and reframes the usual dystopia-utopia debate within a more psychological lens. It focuses on how people would feel in a perfect society, and more specifically if the ‘truth’ of perfection is in line with the good ‘feelings’ of perfection.

The Blog Posts and Reviews pages display my content writing skills.

Tali’s Fund Letter of Inquiry

Drafted for Tali’s Fund as a brief message to send to potential foundations, this 1-page document is extremely efficient and precise. Every comma, semicolon, and hyphen is in place for a reason. (Even the one after the adverb.)

Composed and designed by me, this small magazine details the story of the Tohono O’odham tribe’s water rights struggle.

Notably, this project focuses on the ‘flow’ of the document. Special care was taken to insure that the viewer’s attention is directed to follow the story of the Tohono O’odham tribe.

Tali’s Fund Care for Kids Proposal

This Proposal served as a point of first contact between Tali’s Fund and Care for Kids regarding the mentioned Family Care Package Program. It strikes a delicate balance between impact and narrative, aiming to provide explanation of what the program means to accomplish, while also not foregoing the powerful story that began Tali’s Fund.
